Are lessons just for kids and beginners?

Music Lessons are for EVERYONE. We cater to all age groups and skill levels. It doesn’t matter if you’re in your mid-forties and have never played an instrument before or if have years of experience and want to expand your knowledge – this is the place for YOU.

Are music lessons a good after-school activity for my child?

Absolutely! The benefits from learning a musical instrument are endless. Research has indicated that musical training has a profound impact on skills including speech and language, memory and attention, due to the influence on the left side of the brain.

And music lessons are extremely cost effective when compared to other activities that typically require equipment, travel expenses, competition entry fees, and so on …

Why should I take lessons at The Guitar World Oakville?

First of all, our establishment is very friendly and family-oriented. This is the kind of place that you will look forward to coming to. Our students are more likely to succeed in their music education simply because we make it fun and enjoyable. Beyond that, we have years of great success stories to prove it.

How are lessons scheduled and where?

Lessons are booked in 1/2 hour sessions. Students select a time that best suits their schedule. For example, if you would like to take your lesson at 5:30pm on Tuesdays, we’ll book you in for that time and YOU OWN THAT SPOT – same time, same day and same instructor every week. And you will receive one-on-one instruction in our on-site teaching studio.

Payments & Fees

• $25 per 1/2 hour (guitar, piano, bass, drums and ukulele)
• $30 per 1/2 hour (vocal)

Students simply pay for a block of 5 lessons in advance.

Why do people love The Guitar World Oakville?

This is where we stand alone. Unlike other establishments, we DO NOT charge a registration fee! And we don’t force you to pay for dozens of lessons up front. We also don’t trouble you with “semesters”. You want to avoid the semester format because you pay up front for either half or the whole year and then if you suddenly cannot continue, your money is gone. At The Guitar World Oakville, you simply pay for five (5) lessons at a time. If you’re not ready to book for the the 5 lesson plan, just schedule one session and see how you like it. We also have a very flexible cancellation policy. If you can’t attend a lesson and provide at least 24 hours notice, your credit for that week will be pushed out to the following week, or an alternate time will be found for you. (You’re allowed one cancellation opportunity within a 6 week period). You can also send a friend in your place, in the event that you can’t make it and have already used up your cancellation opportunity.
